Are you looking for a part time interesting and varied role in the heart of the local community?

Sherburn in Elmet Community Trust is recruiting a Library Co-ordinator to work alongside our fantastic teams of volunteers in the Community Library to raise the profile of the library and help ensure we are fully serving the needs of our community and local villages.

The Co-ordinator will also be instrumental to helping set up a new ‘Community Support Network’ whose aim is to improve the wellbeing of local residents, enabling them to live independently by receiving queries and providing information, signposting resources and co-ordinating with the various local voluntary organisations who provide services. A key part of the initial job will be to help set up a data base to provide this information.

The role for 10 hours’ per week is very flexible and working hours are not fixed but will be across 6 days, including occasional Saturdays. It is for an initial 12 months fixed contract, starting October 2021. £9.50 per hour.

We are looking for an individual with effective marketing and communication skills, with IT skills to match. You will need to be organised and self-motivated as well as a team player.
