Coronavirus (COVID-19): Library update

We would like to welcome you back to Sherburn & Villages Community Library from Monday 12th April at 09.30 and our normal opening times thereafter.

We will be operating a Covid safe environment and will ask visitors to sanitise their hands and register their presence using the track and trace system upon entry. Visitors are also asked to wear face coverings whilst in the library and observe social distance from others.

During the time the library has been closed we have taken the opportunity to replace the lighting and carpets and alter the layout to give a brighter and fresher environment which we hope you will enjoy. The books available for you to borrow have been enhanced with lots of new ones to choose from.

Our amnesty on fines will finish on 30 April. Please bring your books back by 30 April to avoid incurring fines or renew by phone on 01603 536033 or online at https://capitaldiscovery.co.uk/northyorkshire/home

Unfortunately at this time due to Covid restrictions we have to restrict the number of computers available for public use to 3 and if we have high demand use may be restricted to 45 minutes. Also at the moment we cannot offer other services such as assistance with IT problems and access to Council and advice services if that would require face to face support. We will always do our best to help if possible however. Also at this time we cannot offer study space, group activities or use of the toilet.

See our contact page for ways to get in touch and how to find us.
