Coronavirus (COVID-19): Library update

Last updated: 18/07/2020

From Tuesday 21st July Sherburn & Villages Community Library will return to our usual opening hours.

We have altered the layout to create a lot more space and a one way system that should enable both our volunteers and customers to feel safe maintaining social distance.

You will be able to borrow books and audio books as always and make use of our computers and free WiFi, although spaces will be limited. If you need any photocopying, scanning or printing please ask a volunteer and they will do it for you.

We will not at the moment be able to offer all of the help and advice, group activities and access to council and other services that we previously did but we will be looking to get completely back to normal as soon as we can.

Should you still feel uncomfortable coming into the library why not take advantage of our Select and Collect service? Give us a ring, tell us what you like to read and we can select books for you and arrange a time when you can come and collect them from outside the door.

We also operate a Home Delivery Service for those of you who are unable to get to the library for whatever reason. Contact us and we will visit you to discuss your preferences and arrange for a volunteer to deliver them to you on regular basis.

Please see our opening times page to confirm opening days and times, how to find us and how to get in touch.

Any items already on loan have automatically been extended to 1st September, so there is no need to rush back to return.

We look forward to welcoming you back and thank our volunteers for their continued support. Please keep checking this page or our Facebook page for updates. See our contact page for ways to get in touch.
